The question, spoken aloud

The title is the collection’s thesis turned on the lie — the old garden question: who told you? This is a web-based walk through women’s testimony, dark-skinned and light-skinned alike, because colorism’s residual effects are carried at every shade. Each woman tells her story in her own room; each story is followed by a space to reflect. You aren’t shown a thesis — you’re walked through a chorus of real experience, and given, at every turn, a place to put your own.
