The Colour of Beautiful Media & Entertainment Group, LLC ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit our sites, join our list or buy from us, and what we do with it. It applies to thecolourofbeautiful.black and its subdomains, melaningenesis.com and karendmoore.media.

What we collect

What you give us: your name and email when you join our list, download a guide or register for an event; your answers when you apply for a program; the name, email and note you enter when you send a gift; and anything you write to us.
Purchase details: what you bought, when, and the amount. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Account details: if you create an account for a membership or digital work, your login email and your progress or entries inside it.
Gift recipients: if someone sends you a gift, they give us your name and email so we can deliver it.
Automatic information: pages visited, links clicked, device and browser type, general location, and whether you opened our emails, collected through cookies and similar tools.

How we use it

To deliver what you signed up for or bought, including access links and logins
To send emails you asked for, including updates, new works and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To review program applications and schedule calls
To answer your questions and give support
To understand what's working on our sites and in our emails
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that help us run the business, and only what they need:

When you send a gift, we use the recipient's name and email only to deliver the gift and your note, and to set up her access. A gift recipient is added to our list and can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies

Our sites and our service providers use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some features may not work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're on our list, a customer or a member, and as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting records. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
Ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@thecolourofbeautiful.black. We'll respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's or country's privacy laws. We'll honor them.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee it.

Children

Our sites and programs are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we'll let our list know by email.
